slambucket: rossrz: So from what I understand, some people think they can just “have” or “own” a hot rod. You can’t just go out and buy a hot rod. I mean sure you can go to a fabrication company tell them what you want and have one built, but hot rods are your blood. You adapt, Weld, Form metal, channel, chop, and make choices that show your style. They are the only automobile that holds this tight of a relationship between owner and car. It’s a shame people don’t know names like isky or blackie or roth. Do some digging and you’ll like what you see. The most important thing you must understand is hot rods are built, never bought. I think this should be true of all cars, not just hot rods. People should make the cars theirs, make it what you want it to be.

I think this should be true of all cars, not just hot rods. People should make the cars theirs, make it what you want it to be.
